Home theatre installation and multi-room audio in Sydney
We design and install home theatres and multi-room audio across Sydney. Music in every room from equipment in the rack, controlled from the same keypads and app as the rest of the house. And cinema rooms designed from the seating position back, not the screen forward.
Multi-room audio
In-ceiling and in-wall speakers throughout the house, driven by amplifiers in the rack rather than a speaker with a power point in every room. Each area can play its own music or join the others, and the audio follows the scenes: the Dining scene brings up quiet music in the dining room, Goodnight turns it all off.
- In-ceiling and in-wall speakers chosen for each room
- Outdoor and landscape speakers
- Streaming from the services you already use
- Control by keypad, touch panel and app
Home cinema
A dedicated cinema is designed around the seats. Screen size and viewing distance, the speaker layout for the room, acoustic treatment, and a lighting scene that dims the room when the film starts. Media rooms can be simpler: a good screen, a hidden sound system and one remote.
- Screen or projector sizing for the seating
- Surround and height channel layouts
- Acoustic treatment and isolation
- Calibration once the room is finished

Sonos installation
We supply and install Sonos too. An Arc Ultra or a pair of Era speakers for the TV room, Sonos Amps driving in-ceiling speakers so the music comes from the ceiling rather than a speaker on the bench, and the network set up so it stays connected.
Sonos suits an existing home well: less cabling, and you keep using the Sonos app. On a larger project we'll tell you straight whether Sonos or a rack-based system is the better fit for the house.
- Arc Ultra and Era speakers for TV rooms and surround
- Sonos Amp with in-ceiling or in-wall speakers
- Wall and ceiling mounting with the cables hidden
- Wi-Fi and network set up so it doesn't drop out
- Brought into Savant or the house keypads where the system supports it
What drives the cost of audio and cinema
We don't publish package prices, because two houses that sound the same can be very different on site. These are the things that move the number.
- Number of audio zones and speakers
- Speaker quality and outdoor coverage
- Dedicated cinema or shared media room
- Screen or projector, seating and acoustic treatment
- Integration with lighting and the rest of the house
Where we work
Based on the Northern Beaches, we design and install across the Eastern Suburbs, the Lower and Upper North Shore and the harbour side of the Inner West: from Palm Beach, Clareville and Clontarf to Mosman, Hunters Hill, Wahroonga, Point Piper, Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill and Dover Heights, and further afield for larger projects.
Questions we get asked
Where does the audio equipment go?
In the rack, with the rest of the house's equipment. Only the speakers and keypads are visible in the rooms.
Can each room play different music?
Yes. Each zone can play its own source, or several zones can be grouped to play the same thing.
Do I need a dedicated room for a home cinema?
Not necessarily. A dedicated room gives the best result, but a well-designed media room with a hidden sound system gets you most of the way in a shared space.
Do you install Sonos?
Yes. We supply and install Sonos speakers, soundbars and amps, including Sonos Amps driving in-ceiling speakers, and set up the network so they stay connected. On larger homes we'll also explain when a rack-based system is the better choice.
When should cinema be planned?
At design stage. Ceiling height, room dimensions, seating, and conduit for the projector and speakers all need to be decided before construction.
