Video intercom and access control installation in Sydney
We install video intercoms, smart locks and gate access control across Sydney. See who's at the gate from anywhere, let them in from your phone, and give the cleaner a code that only works on Tuesdays. Entry designed as part of the house, not an afterthought on the letterbox.
What we install
- Video intercoms at the gate and front door, ringing indoor stations and your phone
- Keyless entry by code, fob, card or phone, with a record of who came and went
- Gate and garage control from the intercom, the app and the car
- Time-based access for cleaners, trades and deliveries
- Electric strikes and locks specified fail-safe or fail-secure to suit the door
Built on open standards. We favour IP intercoms that use SIP, such as 2N, so the door station can ring touch panels, phones and other systems rather than being locked to one app. When a manufacturer's app changes, the intercom keeps working.
Tied into the house
Answer the gate on the kitchen touch panel, see the camera at the same time and let them in with one press. Open the gate and the path lights come on. Arm the alarm and the front door locks.
Why intercoms get replaced
It stopped ringing the phone
The manufacturer changed or dropped the app. SIP-based stations avoid being tied to one app.
Two-wire systems at end of life
Older systems can't send video to a phone. Many can be replaced on the existing cable.
The gate and the intercom don't talk
Separate systems from separate installers. Bringing them together is usually straightforward.
Lost access codes
No record of who has access. Credential-based access fixes that.
What drives the cost of access and intercoms
We don't publish package prices, because two houses that sound the same can be very different on site. These are the things that move the number.
- Number of entry points, gates and doors
- Video stations and indoor panels
- Locks, strikes and door hardware
- Cabling from the gate to the house
- Integration with CCTV, alarm and lighting
Where we work
Based on the Northern Beaches, we design and install across the Eastern Suburbs, the Lower and Upper North Shore and the harbour side of the Inner West: from Palm Beach, Clareville and Clontarf to Mosman, Hunters Hill, Wahroonga, Point Piper, Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill and Dover Heights, and further afield for larger projects.
Questions we get asked
Can a video intercom ring my mobile?
Yes. IP intercoms can call your phone through an app, so you can answer and open the gate from anywhere.
Can I give a trade or cleaner temporary access?
Yes. Codes and credentials can be limited to certain days and times and removed without changing locks.
What happens to an electric lock in a power failure?
It depends on how it's specified. Fail-safe locks release, which suits some internal doors. Fail-secure locks stay locked, which suits external doors. We specify each door to suit, with battery backup where needed.
Can you replace an old intercom without new cabling?
Often. Many older two-wire and analogue systems can be replaced using the existing cable, with converters where needed. We'll check before quoting.
Planning entry and access?
Tell us about the gates, doors and who needs to get in. We'll design the entry around it.
