Platforms we work with
We're not tied to a single manufacturer, so we recommend the platform that suits the building, not the one we happen to sell. These are the systems we design, program and service.
Lighting and control
KNX
An open international standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3) with hundreds of manufacturers, programmed in ETS. Devices share a twisted-pair bus, grouped into lines and areas joined by couplers, so a large house is designed as a topology, not a device list. No single brand owns it, which is the point: any competent integrator can service it for decades.
More on KNXDALI
The lighting-level protocol (IEC 62386): up to 64 addressable drivers per line, individually dimmed and monitored. DT8 drivers add tunable white and colour. We use DALI where fitting-by-fitting control or colour temperature matters, usually under KNX or Dynalite.

A distributed lighting control system on the DyNet RS485 network, strong in both homes and commercial buildings. Commissioned in System Builder, with Envision panels and gateways. Common in Sydney apartments and in homes from the 2000s onward.

Schneider Electric's lighting control system, programmed in C-Bus Toolkit and installed in a great many Australian homes. We service and extend existing C-Bus systems, and plan staged moves to KNX where an owner wants one.

Savant
The interface layer: app, remotes, touch panels, audio and video, sitting over the lighting, climate and security systems underneath. The part of the house people touch every day.

Belgian-made keypads, switches and remotes in real metals and finishes, used where the wall hardware is part of the interior design.
Security and access
ICT Protege
An integrated access control and intrusion platform from New Zealand: alarm, doors and credentials in one system, with integration into the rest of the house.
More on ICT Protege2N
IP intercoms and access readers with SIP video, used at front gates, entries and apartment buildings, ringing through to phones and panels.
More on 2NUniview
IP CCTV cameras and recorders, specified for night performance, retention and remote viewing.

UniFi
Ubiquiti's networking platform: gateways, switches and access points, with PoE for cameras and intercoms, VLANs to keep systems separate, and remote management so faults can be seen before they're felt.
More on UniFiHow we choose
A new house with the walls open is a different problem from an apartment where the ceilings can't come down, and a Dynalite system that already works is a different problem again.
We look at the building, what's already there, how the owners want to live in it and who will need to service it in fifteen years, then recommend the combination that suits. Often that's KNX with DALI for lighting and Savant as the interface. Sometimes it isn't.
Other systems
If your house has something not listed here, ask. We work across most of the systems found in Sydney homes, and we'll tell you straight if something is outside what we do well.
Talk about your project
Tell us what you're building, or what's already in the house, and we'll recommend a platform.
