Care Plans

A smart home is a system of software and hardware, and like any system it runs best when someone's looking after it. Care Plans keep yours current, backed up and on a first-name basis with the people who know it.

What a Care Plan covers

  • Scheduled on-site health checks
  • Firmware and software updates, managed so nothing breaks in the process
  • Remote diagnostics and support
  • Programming backups kept off site
  • Scene and schedule changes as the way you live changes
  • Priority scheduling for repairs and additions

Why it matters. Most of the faults we're called to could have been caught earlier: a recorder drive failing, a backup battery at the end of its life, a controller two firmware versions behind, a programming file that only existed on one laptop. A Care Plan is how those get found on a scheduled visit instead of a Sunday night.

Three plans

Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the system, so plans are quoted after we've seen it.

For systems we installed, and systems we take over

Every system we install can go straight onto a plan at handover. Systems installed by someone else can join after a takeover visit, once we've documented the system and brought it up to date.

For buildings: strata common property systems are covered by a building service agreement rather than a home plan.

Questions we get asked

What is a smart home Care Plan?

An annual service agreement that includes scheduled health checks, software and firmware updates, remote support and priority service for your smart home system.

How much does a Care Plan cost?

It depends on the size and complexity of the system, so plans are priced on request once we know the system.

Can I join if Hyper Automation didn't install my system?

Yes, after a takeover visit in which we document the system and bring it up to date.

Does a Care Plan cover replacement parts?

Parts and hardware failures are quoted separately. The plan covers the visits, updates, support and priority described for each tier.

Can I cancel?

Plans renew annually and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice before renewal.
