- Nobody has the programming file
- The original installer has retired or stopped answering

- to attend, including the first hour on site
- $198
- per hour after the first hour, in 30 minute blocks
The $330 is credited against the repair if you go ahead with it, and we quote the repair before we start it. All prices include GST. No travel charge, and nothing on the invoice you haven't agreed to.
How a service call works
Tell us the symptoms
Describe what the system is doing, or refusing to do. We'll tell you what's likely involved before anyone comes out.
On-site diagnosis
We find whether the fault is hardware, programming or the network before quoting a fix.
Repaired and tested
Parts replaced, programming restored, and tested with you before we leave.
Every system we touch gets documented to switchboard and group address level, and you keep a copy. That's what turns the next fault into a one-visit job, whoever attends it.
We take on systems other installers walk away from
Much of Sydney's automation was installed by small companies that are no longer trading, and the programming files went with them. The programming lives on the devices as well as in the file, so we can read it back and rebuild the project.
Care Plans
Scheduled health checks, firmware updates, programming backups and priority callouts, for homes that would rather not wait for something to break.
One contractor for the building
Intercoms, access control, CCTV and common area lighting across a building, with a report after every visit and an urgent repair line.
Where we attend
Servicing across the Northern Beaches, the Eastern Suburbs, the Lower and Upper North Shore and the Inner West, from Palm Beach and Mosman to Point Piper, Vaucluse, Wahroonga and Balmain.
Questions we get asked
Do you service systems you didn't install?
Yes. Most of our service work is on systems installed by someone else, often by companies no longer trading.
How much does a service call cost?
$330 to attend, including the first hour on site, then $198 an hour in 30 minute blocks. All prices include GST. The $330 is credited against the repair if you go ahead, and we quote the repair before starting it.
Nobody has the programming file. Can you still fix it?
Usually, yes. We can read what's on the network and rebuild the project. See system takeovers.
How quickly can you attend?
Tell us the symptoms and we'll tell you what's likely involved and when we can get there. Urgent faults in strata buildings are prioritised.
Do you offer ongoing service agreements?
Yes. See Care Plans for homes, and strata services for buildings.
Do you repair motorised blinds, awnings or louvres?
Only when they're controlled by a home automation system such as C-Bus, KNX, Dynalite or Savant, where the fault is usually on the control side. A blind, awning or louvre roof that runs on its own remote is best serviced by its manufacturer or the company that installed it.
Tell us what it's doing
Describe the symptoms and we'll tell you what's likely involved before anyone comes out. A photo of the switchboard or keypad helps.
