Smart home installation for Sydney new builds
The best smart home is the one designed before the slab goes down. We work with the architect, builder and electrician from design development through to commissioning, and document it so the house gets built as drawn.

Why the timing matters
The expensive decisions in a smart home are made months before anyone thinks about keypads: switchboard size, rack location, cable routes, ceiling penetrations and window heads. Change them after rough-in and you're opening finished walls.
Brought in early, the automation layer usually costs less than people expect, because on a new build most of it is planning and cable.
Concept and design development
Scope, systems and budget. Rack location, plant space and ceiling heights for any cinema.
Documentation
Lighting circuits, keypad positions, switchboard layout, group addresses and cable schedules.
Tender
Our schedules go to the electrical contractors, so every price is for the same thing.
Rough-in
Cabling and back-boxes, checked by us before the walls are sheeted.
Fit-off and commissioning
Hardware, programming, testing and scene setting.
Handover
Walkthrough, documentation and programming backup.
How we work with your team
Architects and designers
We resolve the services layer against the drawings, so the lighting plan, keypad positions and ceiling plans agree before anything is priced.
For architectsBuilders
One trade for the smart home, on programme, with documented schedules the electrician can build from.
For buildersElectrical contractors
We supply the design and do the programming and commissioning. You install to our drawings.
For electrical contractorsWhat drives the cost on a new build
We don't publish package prices, because two houses that sound the same can be very different on site. These are the things that move the number.
Brought in at design stage, most of the cost is cable and planning rather than hardware.
- The systems included and how integrated they are
- Lighting circuit count and dimming types
- Number of motorised windows
- Rack, networking and access point count
- Security and access scope
- Audio zones and any cinema
Where we work
Based on the Northern Beaches, we design and install across the Eastern Suburbs, the Lower and Upper North Shore and the harbour side of the Inner West: from Palm Beach, Clareville and Clontarf to Mosman, Hunters Hill, Wahroonga, Point Piper, Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill and Dover Heights, and further afield for larger projects.
Questions we get asked
When should we involve you in a new build?
At design development, before the electrical tender goes out. The decisions that cost the most to reverse are made early.
Can you quote from plans?
Yes. Send the architectural set and any lighting plan. We price from the drawings rather than a rate card, because two houses of the same size can differ a great deal.
Do you work directly with our architect and builder?
Yes, routinely. We document to switchboard and group address level so the electrician can build from drawings.
What if we're not ready for the full system yet?
Cable for it now and fit it later. Cable and conduit at rough-in cost very little. Retrofitting them costs a great deal.
Send us the drawings
Tell us where the project is up to. A short conversation with the drawings in front of us is usually enough to scope it.
