Dynalite repairs Sydney
Fault finding, repairs and reprogramming for Philips Dynalite across Sydney. Programmers and electricians with over ten years on Dynalite, so we fix the programming as well as the hardware.
We fix Dynalite systems we didn't install
Much of our Dynalite work is on systems someone else put in, often by a company that is no longer trading. A missing programming file or a discontinued Envision screen is where we usually start, not a reason to rip it all out.
“Sam at Hyper was really helpful in programming my dynalite house. Professional and on time.”
“Sam and Ollie are absolutely tops with a standard of service that we wish was available from all trades.”
“Sam and his team are the best in the business.”

Programmers and electricians, not one or the other
Almost every Dynalite callout ends in one of two places. Either the fault is hardware, or it's the programming on the DyNet network. Most trades can only handle the first, which is why so many Dynalite jobs get a new dimmer fitted and still don't work.
We're a licensed electrical contractor and we write the Dynalite programming ourselves, in System Builder and Envision. One visit, one team.
Common Dynalite faults
- Wall panels not responding, or triggering the wrong area
- Dimmer or relay channels that have failed, flicker or run hot
- Envision touchscreens dead, frozen or no longer supported
- LED downlights glowing faintly when switched off
- Presets, scenes and schedules lost after a blackout or board work
- The system runs but nobody has the project file
- The original installer has retired or is no longer trading
- DyNet network faults, or a gateway that has dropped offline
Dynalite repairs, programming and upgrades
DyNet fault finding
We diagnose across the DyNet network rather than replacing units one at a time until something works.
Dynalite reprogramming
Area, preset and schedule changes in System Builder, including rebuilding a lost project from scratch.
Hardware replacement
Failed dimmers, relays, panels and gateways sourced, replaced, then programmed back in properly.
Upgrades and app control
Replace end-of-life Envision screens, move control onto a phone or tablet, or plan a staged upgrade.
How a Dynalite service call works
Tell us the symptoms
Describe what the system is doing, or refusing to do. We'll tell you what's likely involved before anyone comes out.
On-site diagnosis
We find whether the fault is hardware, programming or the network before quoting a fix.
Repaired and tested
Parts replaced, programming restored, and tested with you before we leave.
What a service call costs
- $330
- to attend, including the first hour on site
- $198
- per hour after the first hour, in 30 minute blocks
The $330 is credited against the repair if you go ahead with it, and we quote the repair before we start it. All prices include GST. No travel charge, and nothing on the invoice you haven't agreed to.
Dynalite questions we get asked
Nobody has the Dynalite programming file. Can it still be fixed?
Yes. A missing project file is one of the most common reasons we're called. We interrogate the DyNet network, read what's on it and rebuild the project.
My Dynalite touchscreen is dead and the model is discontinued.
Older Envision Touch screens are no longer made, but the DyNet network behind them is usually healthy. We can fit a current panel or move control onto a phone or tablet.
The panels click but no lights come on. What is that?
Usually a failed dimmer or relay channel rather than a network fault. The click is the relay operating while the load side has failed. It's a component-level repair.
We lost all our presets after a power failure.
Common, and usually recoverable. Presets and schedules can drop out after a power event while the hardware is fine. It's normally a reprogramming job.
Do you service commercial Dynalite as well as homes?
Yes. Dynalite is common in offices, hotels and strata common areas, and we service all of them across Sydney.
Where we attend
Servicing across the Northern Beaches, the Eastern Suburbs, the Lower and Upper North Shore and the Inner West, from Palm Beach and Mosman to Point Piper, Vaucluse, Wahroonga and Balmain.
